Labels for the chemical sector
Coil or sheet labels for chemicals with special and highly resistant materials
The chemical sector needs information labels in special materials,made with tenacious and frontal adhesives able to withstand chemical agents, solvents, and in extreme temperature conditions. This is, of course, the result of the substances used in these sectors, which, in addition to requiring the use of special materials, need to be labelled precisely in order to become recognizable and thus avoid damage that could be harmful to the health of those who inadvertently come into contact with them.
The quality of this type of label consists in fact of two factors: on the one hand the resistance to contact with the most differentiated chemical agents and on the other hand in the adherence of the characters ecited even in extreme conditions from the point of view of temperature.

Labels in accordance with the law: entrusted to Finlogic
Labels for chemical companies have to meet different safety needs when they are offered to a large audience. These labels are, in fact, necessary by law for the transport of dangerous or flammable goods, but also for the safety of those who handle them.
Finlogic produces labels in accordance with current legislation in the sector such as the CLP Regulation for the classification and labelling of substances and mixtures.
Labels must therefore:
- always be readable, and therefore must be resistant to water and to the various solvents or chemical agents that define;
- adhere perfectly to the product on which they go to position themselves, in order to always comply with their informative function.
La normativa GHS sull’etichette chimiche
Proprio per queste ragioni negli ultimi anni le Nazioni Unite hanno realizzato un regolamento mondiale univoco: per la classificazione, etichettatura e imballaggio delle sostanze chimiche, detto GHS (Globally Harmonised System), cioè un sistema mondiale di etichettatura applicabile a tutti i prodotti chimici. Questo codice disciplina l’utilizzo di pittogrammi identificativi specifici, universali e riconoscibili. Per i diversi tipi di pericoli legati alle sostanze, ripartiti in classi:
- pericoli fisici
- pericoli per la salute
- pericoli per l’ambiente
Finlogic produce etichette neutre, stampate o pre-stampate, in maniera conforme alla normativa vigente e dispone di materiali certificati.
I materiali più idonei all’etichettatura dei prodotti chimici
Per l’etichettatura di questi prodotti è consigliabile utilizzare il polipropilene (PP), un materiale in grado di offrire una perfetta aderenza su superfici metalliche, vetro e plastica.
Il polipropilene resiste perfettamente alle condizioni estreme, all’acqua, ai graffi e agli strappi; in questo modo sono preservati i pittogrammi che indicano le diverse tipologie di pericolo di ogni sostanza chimica. Per i prodotti chimici per cui è previsto il trasporto marittimo è disponibile il Polipropilene Certificato BS5609 che consente una resistenza dell’etichetta fino a 3 mesi in immersione nel mare, nel caso di perdita di container o imballi nel mare.
Finlogic può fornire sia etichette bianche neutre per la sovrastampa con trasferimento termico, sia per la stampa diretta a colori con stampanti digitali come Epson, Oki, Primera e DTM. Per la maggior parte forniamo ancora etichette con maschere prestampate che vengono poi terminate con la stampa dei dati variabili con il trasferimento termico direttamente in produzione.
