Finlogic presents Fabio Caschetto, Head of the Automatic Coding Area

Over to Fabio Caschetto, Product Manager Automatic Coding Division

A great propensity for innovation and internationalization for the Group

The great drive towards innovation and the opening of new markets characterize the work of Finlogic Spa and with  Fabio Caschetto at the head of the section of solutions for automatic labeling, this feature is strengthened.

Always operating in export markets and in contact with major international retailers, Fabio Caschetto has been working since 2004 in the field of automatic labeling and identification and since 2013 he has been Export Manager for Finlogic.

Thanks to its know-how, Finlogic strengthens its position in the automation sector and evolves towards the concept of " Automatic Coding ", adding to the product range also coding equipment not strictly related to the use of self-adhesive labels, but which more and more often they are integrated into production lines or into automatic labeling systems.

Some questions addressed to Fabio Caschetto

Projects and activities for the immediate future

What important news can you give us some anticipation?

There is an important project in progress that represents - in the field of automatic labeling  - a real “novelty” for many years now. This is the “print & apply color” labeling machine,  which we first developed thanks to our strong partnership with Epson, and which will be the subject of a specific information campaign to make the market aware of this new, interesting opportunity. The project already implemented is in the luxury goods sector, but I have negotiations already at an advanced stage in the footwear sector, industrial production, logistics distribution, and - even -  nuclear medicine. As you can see, the fields of application are many and very different.

What are your division's strategic and sales goals?

Finlogic aims to strengthen its proposal as a " global supplier of identification solutions ", a type of company profile that already exists in many European markets but which in Italy has only one other subject that operates with the same strategy and visibility at national. We aim to become the supplier of reference in our sector, the only one able to offer such a wide range of solutions, thanks to the widespread presence in the area, though all the subsidiaries, resellers and direct sales force. The division's strategic objective is to make the most of internal synergies to supply consumables and related technological solutions from a single source. In terms of sales volumes, in these first years of development, we intend to follow the Group trend and we are certainly aiming for double-digit percentage growth.

What is the next challenge to face?

As for the  Automatic Coding Division, certainly that of spreading, effectively and quickly, the image of Finlogic as a global supplier of solutions, pushing hard on the synergies of the group and on the position of strength that the group has achieved.

How do you think the coronavirus situation could affect the business development of your product division?

Beyond the usually repeated phrase " where there is a crisis, there are opportunities ", I think that the choice to develop this division can help offset the feared decline - I think inevitable - that we will encounter with consumables, which are obviously linked to the contraction of industrial production. Investment assets, on the other hand, can represent an important need that companies will have to "restructure their production processes" and face the new procedures imposed by Covid-19.

What better way to enforce the distancing of production workers than to automate processes as much as possible?

There will be some specific markets (production of PPE, sanitizing gels and liquids, products and equipment for sanitation, and clinical analyzes) that will certainly have a considerable need to update and expand their production lines. In this sense, we have already made some sales and others will surely follow with the spread of the new rules imposed by coexistence with the coronavirus.

I sincerely hope - in this sense - that  Italian companies will be supported and enabled to face these investments necessary to adapt to the new reality that we are going to face.
